We welcome Alivia Murray to Eagle Ridge this summer as our new Pool Manager and Director of Operations. Alivia is brand new to Eagle Ridge for our 2025 season. Alivia has been a lifeguard at various pools for the past 7 years. She grew up in West Seneca and attended West Seneca West where she competed on the swim and track teams. From there, she attended SUNY Brockport to achieve her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. She is currently finishing up her last semester of graduate school for School Health Education.

While getting her master’s degree, she obtained a Long Term Sub job in Physical Education at Orchard Park Middle School and a Long Term Sub job in Physical Education, Wellness and Health at the Amherst District Elementary Schools.

Alivia is also a coach during the school year. She volunteer-coached for the Orchard Park Girls Varsity Swim Team, assistant coaches for the Orchard Park Boys Varsity Swim Team, and assistant coaches for the Orchard Park Modified Track and Field Team. Her goal is to obtain a full-time position as a Physical Education Teacher or a School Health Teacher and continue to coach.

When she isn't running around coaching and teaching, you can find her enjoying nature, jamming out at a country concert or enjoying a good movie. Summer is Alivia’s favorite season. She loves the warm weather, the beautiful sunsets, the beach, and playing lawn games. Alivia’s go-to comfort food is chocolate peanut butter ice cream. However, if she had to choose one food to eat for the rest of her life, she would choose spaghetti. She said if she could instantly master any skill, she would choose sign language or another language.

Alivia is looking forward to meeting and working with everyone this summer! She is excited to become part of our community.

Sophia Starosielec

We are very excited to announce Sophia Starosielec will be our new assistant manager. Many of you likely know Sophia as this will be her 12th summer at Eagle Ridge. She has worked for the past four summers as a lifeguard, swim lesson instructor, and most recently, swim team coach. Sophia is currently at Penn State University studying Nutrition Science and Healthcare Policy Administration. She is so excited to be the assistant manager this year for the club, and can't wait to see how well the summer goes (hopefully winning championships again! Go Pirates!).

Outside of work and school, Sophia loves to go to Penn State football games, read, dance, and be outside. Sophia's favorite food are bagels and loves pink drinks from Starbucks. Her favorite shape is a star, so everything is star-themed.

She is looking forward to the summer months ahead and can't wait to see all of our members again!
